Avoid TestRail Sync - Manual Mapping of Tests
Due to a recent bug that messed up my TestRail tests and my workflow I would love to get rid off the 2way sync between TestRail and Ranorex.
When I create tests I do this in TestRail...with a good documentation...good steps and so on...so as perfect as possible.
Then I just want to add a test in ranorex, right click on it and "Set TestRail ID...".
From that time, the test is mapped to test testrail test without any synchronisation....just an easy mapping.
- a sync error doesnt mess up the most important thing about my tests (the project in TestRail)
- it would be possible to add ranorex to existing (big) TestRail projects and easily add tests without the need of a sync (sometimes manual is better)...in my case i had an existing testrail + existing ranorex project...bringing them together was a pain....
- any tests (deprecation, playground tests, ...) in Ranorex are NOT sent to TestRail and thus does not accidentaly destroy my "data sovereignty" which would be brilliant
i've implemented this also with another php testing framework and i'm so happy with this. just an easy "hey this test is C123"....thats it :)
i really hope you can do this
