Object identification for shadow DOMs support
Unfortunately there is currently no object identification for shadow DOMs.
This prevents using ranorex with certain web apps that utilize web components and shadow DOMs specifically.
I am happy to inform you that Ranorex Studio 9.0 was released which features this idea.
For more information, see our What’s New page:
You find the link to the most recent Ranorex Studio version on the Studio start page or can download it from here:

I'm currently running some test with Ramonex to see if it is a tools we could use for testing. The tool is great but our applications are using Polymer and Shadow DOMs. So if the application is still not supporting those fonctionality i'm sad to say that Ramonex will not be a option for us

Ah finally! That was annoying... Even if this is a portion only in google it's quite annoying to conduct all test that had shadow doms in it manually.

We are building a new product based on Polymer - Shadow DOM. But Ranorex can't identify objects. We now have to find a new tool to for Automatic tests.
