Often when validating e.g. confirmation messages e.g. "Username has done something" I have a need to make username a variable read from dataset or parameter. In that case Match Value in validate statement would look like "@varUsername has done something". Unfortunately this is not currently supported by Ranorex making validation of dynamic regex expressions containing variable part not possible unless you do it via User Code action.49 votes
Thank you for your input.
For Ranorex 9.2 we have planned to allow string concatenation with variables within validations in the action table. This makes it possible to validate strings that have a dynamic part without having to use regular expressions or user code.

Add the following information to the user guide(General Troubleshooting):
When the security block is enabled in the application (DLL / Exe), Objects recognized by Ranorx are restricted.
Security can be canceled with properties of target application (DLL / Exe). This allows objects to be recognized without restriction.2 votes
Thank you for this valuable input. We plan to add this information to the general troubleshooting in the user guide.

Why? extension for Chrome only!
Firefox and Edge have the ability to integrate extensions (plugins, addons)
I was talking about extensions like SELOCITY (https://www.ranorex.com/selocity/browser-extension/) ...
This is the kind of tool we have been waiting for for a long time ... We had the disappointment to note that it was not available on Firefox or Edge, because I have a team that works only with Firefox1 vote
thanks for your input. The new Firefox API was not ready when Selocity was released. This has changed now.
Proving Selocity also for Firefox is something we have on our wishlist since the start of Selocity. Stay tuned!
